Qualifikationen

• Kenntnisse in CAD (CATIA V5, Solid Works oder ähnlich) sind erforderlich.

About the position

Dometic is a global market leader in the mobile living industry. Millions of people around the world use Dometic products in outdoor, residential, and professional applications. We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for a Technical Product Designer for supporting our Krautheim factory.

Your main responsibilities

• Creating concepts and sketches
• Designing individual parts, products and assemblies of all details using CAD systems, taking into account function, manufacture and assembly. If necessary, also free-form surfaces.
• Consideration of design specifications and requirements from customers, suppliers and internal departments
• Selection of suitable materials, standard parts and semi-finished products taking into account production and cost aspects
• Carry out all necessary calculations, dimensioning and tolerance calculations
• Carry out computer-aided simulations (installation test, demolding, etc.), make adjustments and corrections to the designs if necessary
• Request and order prototype parts
• Creating technical documentation such as parts lists, production documents, standards lists
• Maintain and manage technical data
• Providing technical documents and data for tool enquiries
• Include economic and quality assurance aspects in the work

A suitable background would be the following in terms of qualifications and experiences:

• Training as a technical product designer
• CAD knowledge in CATIA V5, Solid Works or similar
• PDM system SmarTeam
• Microsoft Office, Dynamics AX
• Language skills: German and English (written and spoken)
