We are working with an Energy Trading company looking for a Technical Product Owner skilled in Python to lead a team of five developers and own the overall trading platform.

The ideal candidate will be hands on and skilled in project and stakeholder management.

As Technical Product Owner, you will operate at the intersection of energy trading, quantitative modelling, software engineering, and product leadership. You will set the technical direction for the platform, shape and prioritise its roadmap in close partnership with business stakeholders, and ensure the successful delivery, reliability, and ongoing evolution of this business-critical capability.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, platform engineering, quantitative development, or energy trading technology, with a strong technical foundation.
• Proven experience owning and delivering complex technical products, platforms, and services.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, APIs, distributed systems, and scalable technology solutions.
• Hands-on experience developing and supporting Python-based systems, ideally within quantitative, data-intensive, or business-critical environments.
• Experience with Dagster is a nice to have.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions and lead delivery across agile, cross-functional teams.

The role offers a 125k fixed guaranteed total compensation and provides a flexible working structure.
