Role Overview
We are looking for a hands‑on Full‑Stack Engineer to join their Technology – Trading & Commercial team. You will work across the full stack, developing web applications in React and backend services in Python, powering real‑time trading and data workflows for renewable energy markets. This is a hybrid role based in Berlin.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain the trading web‑app and microservices, managing metering, trading, and master data for traders and clients.
- Build backend services and APIs in Python to handle business logic and integrations.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including engineers, traders, data scientists, and analysts.
- Ensure high code quality through peer reviews and a test‑driven mindset.
- Continuously improve systems, tools, and processes in a fast‑moving, data‑driven environment.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with React (ES6 / TypeScript), including React Hooks and responsive web‑apps (PWAs).
- Solid Python backend development skills, including RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Experience with relational and/or time‑series databases and data‑intensive applications.
- DevOps mindset; familiarity with cloud‑native and containerised environments (AWS experience a plus).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant experience.
- Passion for clean, maintainable code and test‑driven development.
- Experience in energy, commodities, or trading environments.
- Experience delivering products for commercial users (traders, analysts, operations).
- Exposure to microservice‑based or event‑driven architectures.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.
