Technical Documentation Specialist / Technical Writer (m/f/d)

Currently, we are searching for our client in the Bergisch Gladbach area, for a Technical Documentation Specialist / Technical Writer (m/f/d).

Your Responsibilities:

1. Update, create, and manage technical documents such as operating manuals, user guides, and technical descriptions using the Schema ST4 content management system.
2. Prepare and edit documents and spreadsheets using MS Office (Word, Excel).
3. Create and edit drawings and images using Photoshop, Illustrator, or Affinity.
4. Develop and maintain software manuals, including creating screenshots.
5. Oversee and process documentation tasks (creating and maintaining orders, data backup, filing, etc.).
6. Support external documentation service providers.
7. Coordinate translation tasks and process the results.
8. Review and ensure the accuracy of document structures and content.
9. Conduct research (internal/external) and prepare technical data.
10. Print, bind, and prepare documents for manufacturing or shipping.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Completed vocational training in electrical engineering.
2. Proficient in MS Office applications.
3. Interest in writing technical texts and strong language skills.
4. Solid knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
5. A detail-oriented and structured approach to work.
6. Strong communication and team-oriented personality.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with content management systems, ideally Schema ST4.
2. Expertise in technical documentation or a related field.
3. Basic skills in graphic editing (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Affinity).
4. Familiarity with relevant standards in technical documentation.
