Technical Buyer (m/f/x)
Responsibilities:
Procurement of technically demanding mechanical components such as plastic, stamped and bent parts
Observation and analysis of procurement markets as well as development and implementation of global/regional purchasing strategies
Implementation of the delivery plan in accordance with the relevant strategies
Conducting contract and price negotiations as well as cost reduction discussions on the basis of cost targets, deadlines and quality requirements
Renegotiating complex or critical supplier agreements in line with supply strategies
Evaluation and optimization of the existing supplier portfolio
Monitoring of the high quality standards and continuous development of existing suppliers in close coordination with supplier management
Implementation of the purchasing process
Identification and prevention of risks in the supply chain
Participation in escalation cases with suppliers
Ongoing optimization of the supply chain in consideration of the total costs
Close cooperation with the related departments and supplier partners
Data maintenance in SAP R/3 and preparation of all documents required for supplier relationships
Your Profile:
University business/technical degree or comparable qualification
3-5 years of professional experience in procurement; preferably in the automotive industry
Negotiating skills and a strong technical understanding as well as an interest in technical issues
Knowledge of the requirements and processes of the automotive industry and SAP R/3
Confident dealing with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Willingness to travel (international)
Business German and English fluent language skills, both written and spoken
Professional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Above-average commitment, independent work, assertiveness and communication skills as well as the ability to work in a team are prerequisites
