Isar Aerospace SE in Munich is seeking an experienced purchasing professional to source direct materials, components and services for production, aligning with engineering and quality requirements.

You will manage supplier relations, negotiate terms, monitor delivery schedules, and support logistics. The role requires German and English proficiency and a focus on timely, cost-effective procurement within the aerospace sector.

Qualifikationen

• Extensive technical knowledge in turned and machined parts or similar areas
• 3+ years purchasing machined components and mechanical assemblies in aerospace/automotive
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, sometimes complex
• Understanding of construction materials such as composites, alloys, and machined parts
• Strong negotiation and influential skills
• Professional proficiency in German and English

Aufgaben

• Procure direct materials, components and services based on production requirements
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Testing and Quality to ensure technical specs align
• Process quotes, requisitions and purchase orders promptly
• Develop sourcing strategy and supplier relationship management
• Negotiate with external suppliers to secure favorable terms
• Monitor delivery schedules and PO due dates to ensure timely receipt
• Assess supplier performance and initiate continuous improvement
• Provide support to internal stakeholders including planning and quality
• Coordinate logistics with carriers, brokers and freight forwarders as required

• Procure direct materials, components, and services based on production requirements and forecasts
• Collaborate and communicate with internal departments (such as Engineering, Production, Testing and Quality) to ensure clear understanding of technical specifications and company requirements
• Promptly process requests for quotes, requisitions and purchase orders
• Develop sourcing strategy and supplier relationship management
• Negotiate with external suppliers to secure advantageous terms with a win-win approach, both at a technical and commercial level
• Monitor delivery schedules and purchase order due dates to ensure timely receipt of direct materials
• Assess and manage supplier performance, assess delivery risks and initiate continuous improvement programs
• Provide exceptional service and support to internal stakeholders, including production, planning, and quality teams
• Support with the arrangement of logistics by coordinating with nominated carriers, brokers, and freight forwarders as required

Qualification Checklist

• Extensive technical knowledge and experience in the field of “turned and machined parts” or similar areas
• At least 3 years of experience in purchasing machined components and mechanical assemblies in the aerospace, automotive, or similar industries
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, sometimes of a complex nature
• Comprehensive understanding of construction materials such as composite materials, alloys, and machined parts
• Ability to plan and meet project deadlines
• Strong negotiation skills and influence
• Professional proficiency in German and English
