Zusammenfassung

Isar Aerospace SE in Munich seeks a Manager of Indirect Procurement to lead our indirect spend across transport, facilities, professional services, tools, IT equipment, and other operational categories. You will build a small team of buyers, own select categories hands-on, develop sourcing strategies, manage RFIs/RFPs, and drive savings while ensuring compliant procurement aligned with business goals.

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, engineering, or related field.
• Several years of procurement experience with a focus on indirect procurement and category management.
• Experience leading, coordinating, or mentoring buyers, project teams, or cross-functional procurement activities.
• Proven experience managing indirect categories such as transport services, facility-related services, professional services, tools, IT equipment, or similar spend.
• Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, defense, or other regulated industry is a plus.
• People leadership skills with the ability to set priorities, guide others, and support team development.
• Strong understanding of indirect procurement, strategic sourcing, and category management.
• Hands-on approach with ability to independently manage categories and deliver results.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, supplier management, and commercial skills.
• Good understanding of procurement governance, supplier risk, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
• Professional procurement certification, such as CIPS or CPSM, is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Lead, support, and develop a small team of buyers with clear priorities and day-to-day procurement support.
• Oversee indirect category scope covering transport, facilities, professional services, tools, IT equipment, and other op‑spend.
• Take direct ownership of selected categories, managing sourcing activities, supplier relationships, and commercial topics hands-on.
• Develop and implement sourcing and category strategies balancing cost, quality, service, risk, and business needs.
• Manage sourcing processes including RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract awards.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships ensuring competitive pricing and reliable service; work with internal stakeholders to align priorities.
• Drive savings, cost avoidance, process improvements, supplier performance, and procurement KPIs.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, approvals, contractual requirements, and regulatory standards.

The Manager of Indirect Procurement will lead the indirect procurement area and manage a small team of buyers , while remaining actively involved in the hands‑on management of selected categories. Together, the team covers a broad range of indirect spend , including transport services , facility-related services, professional services, tools, equipment, trainings and other operational support categories. This position combines people leadership, stakeholder engagement, and category management to ensure reliable, cost-effective, and compliant procurement support for the business.

Your Role in Our Space Mission:

• Lead , support, and develop a small team of buyers, ensuring clear priorities, effective workload management , and strong day‑to‑day procurement support. , PO Q
• Oversee the team’s indirect category scope, covering areas such as transport services, facility‑related services, professional services, tools, IT equipment, and other operational support categories.
• Take direct ownership of selected categories, managing sourcing activities, supplier relationships, and commercial topics hands‑on where required.
• Develop and implement sourcing and category strategies that balance cost, quality, service , risk, and business needs.
