The Max Planck Institute of Animal Behavior at its sites in Constance and Radolfzell offers an international, interdisciplinary, and cooperative environment that opens up unique research opportunities. The goal of our basic research is to develop a quantitative and predictive understanding of the decisions and movements of animals in their natural environment.
MoveApps, hosted by the Max Planck Institute of Animal Behavior, would like to fill a Technical Assistant (m/f/d) position starting as soon as possible. The workplace will be in Constance and Radolfzell.
MoveApps is an open analysis platform for animal tracking data, developed with the aim to make sophisticated analytical tools accessible to a global community of movement ecologists and wildlife managers. It was beta launched in February 2021 and has currently close to 1500 registered users. MoveApps is being developed by a small team within the Animal-Environment Interaction Lab in collaboration with an external software development company. We are an open, collaborative and international team, aiming at creating a friendly and jointly productive work environment.
The position will start as soon as possible and is initially limited for 2 years.
