To prepare for the role of Manufacturing Mechanic, you will learn theoretical knowledge at vocational school, including understanding auxiliary materials, operating tools, technical drawing, and basic knowledge of mechanics, electrical engineering, pneumatics, and control technology. Practical skills include manual cutting, filing, drilling, milling, turning, welding, quality control, and documentation. A good school diploma (Hauptschulabschluss or Mittlerer Schulabschluss) is required, along with technical understanding, attention to detail, manual dexterity, flexibility, decision-making, and perceptual accuracy.
