TECHNICAL ACCOUNT MANAGER - (SOUTH) GERMANY

Are you a technical expert on Audio Visual Integration & Design, living in (Southern) Germany and familiar with supporting customers from your home office, promoting AV Products? Then Extron Germany is looking for you.

This position requires traveling on a regular basis and working from your home office. Travel region is mostly South Germany.

This is a senior engineering position within the Extron Sales Department. You will support customers from your home office and promote Extron products through training and education. You are responsible for managing the relationship between End-Users within your region and Extron Electronics on all technical subjects.

Must have skills:

• Significant technical skills in the AV business; 5 to 10 years of Audio Visual integration and design experience;
• Preferably a degree from a Fachhochschule or University in Electronics Engineering, Medientechnik, Fernsehtechnik, Informations Elektronik, etc.;
• Multi-lingual in English and German.

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage relationships with all technical managers;
• Introduce all our new products and their advantages when integrated;
• Discuss needed or wanted product or product changes;
• Conduct research in a specific product group area at the request of the product marketing group;
• Pro-actively contact managers about completed projects;
• Support consultants/dealers in their requests for help on projects/tenders;
• Troubleshoot on-site at projects.

Secondary responsibilities:

• Conduct technical training on-site;
• Support dealer- and trade-shows, Extron Institute, etc.;
• Intervene with troubleshooting when a solution is not visible;
• Check translations of our technical documentation (if applicable);
• Keep up with all product updates, test equipment, and technology areas.
