Role: As a Technical Account Manager at Splunk, you will influence the adoption and optimization of our platform for key customers. Your role involves providing strategic technical guidance, fostering customer relationships, and ensuring customer success with our products. You will be a trusted advisor, helping customers achieve their goals and providing feedback to improve our software. The role requires a proactive learner and a deep understanding of our platform to guide customers effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality guidance on architecture, configuration, optimization, and data governance in Splunk environments.
  • Execute adoption strategies, conduct meetings, and document outcomes.
  • Design solutions addressing scalability, performance, usability, and other technical issues.
  • Assess and advise on cost reduction, risk mitigation, and efficiency improvements.
  • Assist with capacity planning, upgrades, and project readiness.
  • Serve as the main contact for customer needs, including support and success initiatives.
  • Collaborate with support teams and manage incident resolutions.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to share information and improve processes.
  • Contribute to team success through process and tool improvements, training, and mentorship.

Requirements:

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor and handle strategic accounts.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer-facing skills.
  • Effective time management and active listening skills.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience in technical consulting or big-data analytics.
  • Understanding of enterprise applications, scripting, development, and databases.
  • Proven industry experience in IT systems, security, or analytics.

Splunk Platform Experience:

  • At least 5 years of Splunk administration and usage.
  • Minimum 3 years of implementation and build experience.
  • 2+ years of Splunk Cloud experience; Cloud Fundamentals accreditation preferred.
  • Experience with cloud migration projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Splunk architecture, clustering, and scalability.
  • Proficiency in SPL and all related products (preferred).
