In Germany, we are planning and building a high-tech production facility in Alzey (Rhineland-Palatinate), which will expand our injectable drugs production from 2027 and employ up to 1,000 specialists. To optimize this innovative site, we seek motivated professionals to ensure the supply of Lilly medicines across Germany, Europe, and globally, aligned with our core values of "Excellence," "Integrity," and "Respect for People."

Responsibilities:

The Alzey Tech @ Lilly team will deploy the full systems architecture to prepare the site for operational readiness. The role involves coordinating the finalization of the Tech @ Lilly Project, leading deployment, and ensuring resource availability in collaboration with senior staff and local leadership.

This position will project manage major initiatives affecting Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, and Finance processes, ensuring alignment with related workstreams and global teams. The role reports to the Alzey Senior Director.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

  • Execute the assigned portfolio of programs and projects efficiently.
  • Provide insights into project progress, developing repeatable processes, standards, and tools.
  • Define effective program management practices for large, multi-year initiatives.
  • Optimize scope, time, cost, and quality, working with local and global leaders to develop action plans.
  • Ensure stakeholder alignment and understanding of program strategies.
  • Develop and enforce policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines for operational efficiency.
  • Manage program execution to meet business and IT commitments, handling resource and organizational constraints.
  • Report on program value and progress through metrics and storytelling.
  • Coordinate dependencies across workstreams and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Facilitate team meetings, update stakeholders, and communicate project status.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3-5 years’ experience managing global IT programs/projects as a Project Manager or SME.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing IT systems, IT audits, compliance, and remediation.
  • Proficiency in Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Understanding of data management, GMP regulations, and cybersecurity in manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in German and English.
  • On-site presence required.
