Tech Architect (m/w/x)

Your mission

• Oversee and steer the development, deployment, and management of technology across all departments, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals
• Lead the technical and Q&A team in the creation and execution of the product roadmap, while ensuring technological resources meet the company's short and long-term needs
• Collaborate with department heads and the CTO to identify, recommend, and implement new technologies that can improve efficiency and service quality
• Manage and optimize infrastructure deployments, cloud-based environments, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance
• Drive the continuous improvement of software engineering practices, advocating for scalable and sustainable architectural decisions
• Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance and adjust project output accordingly
• Coordinate the process of building and maintaining data security systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
• Direct the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures within the organization
• Facilitate the adoption of new digital tools and technologies, assessing system and software needs across the company
• Engage in vendor negotiations and management of software and hardware providers
• Support research and development initiatives, providing expert guidance on potential technology solutions
• Proficient in Oracle Application Express (APEX) and Oracle Database for developing and deploying responsive, data-centric applications on the Oracle platform

Your profile

• Passionate about technology and innovation within the rail freight transport/logistics and digitalization sectors
• Eager to develop your skills and grow within a rapidly scaling organization
• Holds a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred
• Demonstrates at least 5 years of experience in a senior technical management role, with hands-on experience in software development, technology infrastructure management, Oracle and Oracle Apex technologies
• Exhibits strong leadership qualities, able to guide and mentor a dynamic technical team
• Highly organized and analytical, with a proven track record of driving complex projects to completion
• Deep understanding of the latest industry trends and the ability to apply them within the context of the company’s needs
• Proficient in multiple programming languages and IT frameworks, with a solid understanding of network architecture and data security protocols
• Exceptional communication skills in both German and English are essential
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
• Willingness to engage in business trips as required to meet project needs and facilitate team collaboration
