Job summary

GKN Offenbach is seeking a Team Leader of the Test Team (m/f/d) to head a highly specialized testing group. You will manage the DLD test team, oversee 22 test benches, and coordinate with global customers on requirements and test reports.

The role requires a completed engineering degree with testing experience and strong leadership, plus fluency in English and good German. You will shape test specifications and drive investments in the team.

Qualifications

• Completed engineering degree (mechanical or automotive) with proven testing experience.
• Initial or extensive leadership experience to guide the team.
• In-depth expertise in component testing, ideally NVH and CVJ systems.
• Confident demeanor with global customers and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent English skills; good German; accent not a problem.

Responsibilities

• Lead the DLD test team in Offenbach and manage 22 test benches (8 functional).
• Plan capacities of employees and discuss global requirements with customers; final review of test reports.
• Develop and standardize test specifications with GKN test teams; plan team investments.
• Serve as contact regarding strength and NVH issues for engineering, quality and other departments.

As Team Leader of the Test Team (m/f/d), you will actively shape the future of component testing in a modern test center. Technical expert for structural strength and/or NVH/functional testing of CVJ systems. Management of the DLD test team based in Offenbach. Team organization with regard to personality and technology. Resource & project planning: You will plan the capacities of employees and the 22 test benches (8 of which are functional test benches), discuss global requirements directly with customers, and be responsible for the final review of test reports. Development and standardization of necessary test specifications according to changing requirements in cooperation with GKN test teams. Planning and implementation of necessary team investments. Contact person regarding strength and/or NVH problems/questions concerning drive shafts and components for application engineering, quality and other departments.

• A completed engineering degree (mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or similar) and sound professional experience in testing.
• Initial or extensive leadership experience to guide the team in a motivating and goal-oriented manner.
• In-depth expertise in component testing, ideally in the area of NVH and CVJ systems.
• Confident demeanor when dealing with global customers and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent English skills for international exchange and good German skills (an accent is absolutely no problem).
