Our research focuses on the development and clinical translation of adoptive immunotherapy for malignant and non-malignant diseases using T cells modified by gene transfer to express chimeric antigen receptors (CARs). CAR T cell therapy is transformative in cancer medicine. The Head of Core Facility will contribute to its expansion beyond malignant diseases.
Your project: We seek a motivated scientist with expertise in mouse models for cancer research and translational oncology, to oversee services at the Chair of Cellular Immunotherapy. Responsibilities include guiding, supporting, and designing animal experiments, training in in vivo techniques, developing new models, and managing research proposals and compliance with German animal protection laws. The role involves leading a team, managing the budget, and ensuring proper documentation.
We are looking for a motivated scientist with a university degree in veterinary medicine, biology, or a related field, holding a PhD, with over 3 years of postdoctoral experience. Experience in preparing animal licensing documents in Germany, working with genetically engineered mouse models, syngeneic systems, and xenotransplantations is essential. Leadership skills, structured work style, and proficiency in German and English are required.
For non-EU degrees, a detailed certificate evaluation from the Central Office for Foreign Education is required. Remuneration follows collective agreements. Severely disabled applicants will be prioritized if equally qualified.
