We are looking for a Team Leader Engineering to join our team!

You will work as a Lead Engineer, leading a group of (Lead) Systems Engineers, coordinating and supporting the team in its daily activities, and developing its members.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Managing employee welfare and development to ensure a motivated, engaged, and successful team. Monitoring work performance and supporting team members in their specific fields.
  2. Reporting and supporting communication and planning within the team, proposing necessary training and workshop activities.
  3. Ensuring the team understands how their roles meet job requirements and applying methodologies, procedures, and tools from the Project Management Office (PMO) to all projects.
  4. Collaborating with local or European engineering management to foster a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging resources, standardizing processes, automating tools, and sharing knowledge to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  5. Providing support in review planning and preparation, serving as the primary technical contact.
  6. Owning the engineering activities for all assigned work, applying methodologies and resources to minimize costs while maintaining schedule and quality standards.
  7. Supporting Project Managers in developing realistic project schedules and providing necessary information on resources, progress, and risks.
  8. Understanding the scope of all engineering deliverables and ensuring they are delivered with quality, within budget and schedule, and informing the Project Manager of any scope changes promptly.
  9. Ensuring all engineering activities comply with the company's quality control processes and standards.
  10. Supporting an inclusive and supportive environment within the project team and assisting team members in achieving personal development objectives.
  11. Contributing to bid activities to ensure customer requirements are met and proposing innovative, cost-effective solutions.
  12. Sharing knowledge and experience within the team and organization.

Requirements:

  • At least 6 years of experience in process automation projects and managing technical teams.
  • State-certified technician, vocational training, or equivalent knowledge.
  • Fluent in German and English, both speaking and writing.
  • Ability to communicate with customers, suppliers, and third parties on technical matters.
  • Business insight to generate new business opportunities.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, including short (few days) and longer trips (weeks).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of modern PC and network technology.
