Job summary

HS-Technik GmbH in 79588 Efringen-Kirchen sucht eine erfahrene Führungskraft im Bereich Embedded Development, um die Firmware-Strategie zu leiten und das Teamzusteuern.

Sie planen Roadmaps, koordinieren mit Hardware, Vertrieb und Fertigung, und setzen KI-Tools für Codeanalyse sowie Testautomatisierung ein. Erwartet wird ein Uni-Abschluss und mehrjährige Führungs­erfahrung in der Embedded-Entwicklung.

Qualifications

• Mindestens 7 Jahre Embedded C/C++-Entwicklungserfahrung.
• Abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium (B.Sc./M.Sc.) in Informatik, Elektrotechnik, Mechatronik oder ähnlichem.
• Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse, Erfahrung in agilen Methoden.

Responsibilities

• Umsetzung der strategischen Roadmap in Firmware-Entwicklungspläne.
• Führung und Mentoring eines Software-Entwicklungsteams.
• Ressourcen- und Budgetplanung; Reporting an CTO/Management.
• Aufbau und Etablierung von Softwareentwicklungsprozessen inkl. Tests.
• Gesamtverantwortung über den Lebenszyklus des Produkts von Idee bis Wartung.
• Schnittstellenkoordination mit HW-Entwicklung, Vertrieb, After-Sales, Produktion und Partnern.
• Planung und Einsatz von KI-Tools für Code-Analyse, Testautomatisierung und Dokumentation.

Tasks

• Implementation of the strategic product roadmap into firmware development planning for our cordless tools and controllers
• Contributing your own ideas and incorporating best practices and new technologies into development projects
• Resource and budget planning as well as reporting to the CTO and management
• Development and establishment of a software development process, including test planning and revision management
• Management of the entire product life cycle, from brainstorming to planning, design, development (coding), testing, deployment, and maintenance
• Interface coordination with hardware development, sales, after-sales, manufacturing, and external partners
• Leading and motivating a team of software developers
• Coaching, mentoring, and professional and personal development of team members
• Planning and selecting the use of AI tools for code analysis, test automation, and documentation

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in embedded C/C++ development
• Completed university degree (B.Sc./M.Sc.) in computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable field of study
• Very good knowledge of C/C++, experience with RTOS, Git, and ideally Python
• Ideally, experience in project management with Jira
• Confident use of agile development methods (Scrum/Kanban), requirements engineering, and test and verification planning
• Proven experience in team and project management as well as strong coaching and mentoring skills
• Experience in implementing and establishing efficient collaboration within software development teams (e.g., using agile methods)
• Excellent communication skills in German and English
• Goal-oriented, proactive, and analytical approach to work with a high level of quality and safety awareness, as well as strong teamwork and communication skills
• Strong hands-on mentality
• Open, collegial personality with the ability to confidently manage multiple issues simultaneously, even in challenging situations
