What You’ll Do

As a Team Leader, you will motivate and coach your team of Sales Associates to provide an exceptional store environment and customer experience, while optimizing sales. You will lead a team by providing ‘in the moment’ coaching and training on Primark ways of working with ongoing feedback. Supporting the colleague experience, you will engage the Sales Associates in your team with an emphasis on recognition, communication, and wellbeing.

Daily, you will collaborate with the store management team to support the running of the store and develop a high performing and engaged retail team. Here is how it looks in action:

1. Managing an allocated section of a department; supporting colleagues to create inspiring displays and managing daily task allocation to keep your team engaged.
2. Helping other managers with the day-to-day running of the store.
3. Assist with recruitment, on-boarding, and development of Sales Associates while supporting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
4. Managing the cash lanes and Fitting Room areas as needed.
5. Helping with customer feedback and complaints.
6. Managing stock file accuracy and driving improved availability in-store with a consistent focus on size and option control to meet customer demand.
7. Manage all pricing in line with Primark Pricing Principles. Monitoring pricing for accuracy, check markdowns are applied and monitored, and appropriate POS are displayed.

What You’ll Bring

Overseeing a team of Sales Associates and reporting directly to the Department Manager requires a bold team player to take the reins. Here’s what we need from you:

1. Excellent people skills to serve customers, lead the team and build credible working relationships with all store colleagues.
2. Strong service focus with experience of delivering excellent customer experience while maintaining high store standards.
3. Good commercial awareness and understanding of local selling patterns.
4. Ability to guide and support a team to achieve results.
5. You are nimble and adaptable, being able to flex your plans and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
6. Good planning and organizational skills, prioritizing and working within agreed timescales.
7. Experience supporting store management with the protection of people, property and premises by securing cash, stock and property. Keyholder responsibility including availability for emergency call outs.
8. Ability to effectively manage difficult situations and have good problem-solving skills.
9. Position holder must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently, orally and in writing, with managers, supervisors, and hourly colleagues in English to provide instruction, coaching, corrective action, safety instructions and lead teams as a manager daily and in emergencies.
10. Position holder must also be able to provide amazing customer service in English, which includes being able to orally communicate with customers in English and monitor the performance of English-speaking colleagues whose job duties require communication with customers.

The pay range for this role is: $24.00 - $25.50. This is a good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
