Quantum-Systems GmbH is seeking a Team Lead for warehouse and logistics to oversee all activities supporting production and deployment of cUAs. Lead a fast-growing team, manage material flow, and ensure compliant operations in a defence technology environment.

You will drive inventory accuracy, optimize layouts, and coordinate domestic and international logistics, with a strong focus on KPI development and process improvement.

As Team Lead warehouse & logistics for cUAs, you will be responsible for establishing, managing, and continuously improving all warehouse, inventory, logistics, and material flow operations supporting the production and deployment of counter uas systems. you will ensure material availability, inventory accuracy, secure storage, and on-time deliveries while maintaining compliance with regulatory, export control, and quality requirements.

this is a highly operational leadership role combining warehouse management, logistics execution, inventory control, process optimisation, and team leadership within a fast-growing defence technology environment.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Oversee all warehouse activities, including inbound, outbound, storage, picking, packing, kitting, and shipping operations.

• Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant material storage while optimising warehouse layouts and material flows.

• Maintain accurate inventory through robust inventory control, cycle counting, and discrepancy resolution processes.

• Manage material availability to support production schedules and customer deliveries.

• Coordinate domestic and international logistics, including transportation providers, customs, export control, and trade compliance requirements.

• Drive cost-effective and reliable distribution while mitigating supply chain risks and disruptions.

• Establish and improve warehouse KPIs, reporting, SOPs, and warehouse management system (WMS) and ERP processes.

• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, security, and regulatory requirements, supporting audits as needed.

• Lead, develop, and coach warehouse and logistics teams, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

• Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Production, Quality, and Engineering to support business objectives.

What you bring to the team:

• Degree or vocational qualification in logistics, supply chain management, operations, industrial engineering, or a related field.

• 5-7 years of experience leading warehouse and logistics operations within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong experience with inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and distribution.

• Experience working with erp and warehouse management systems.

• Proven track record of improving warehouse efficiency and inventory accuracy.

• Knowledge of customs, international shipping, and trade compliance processes.

• Strong understanding of material flow within production environments.

• Experience establishing processes and structures within growing organisations is highly desirable.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Fluent in German and english skills; additional EU language skills would be beneficial

Nice to Have:

• Experience within defence, aerospace, electronics, UAV, or other high-tech manufacturing environments.

• Familiarity with controlled goods, export-controlled products, or military programmes.

• Certifications in Lean Management, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.

• Experience supporting greenfield projects, new site setups, or rapidly scaling operations.
