At Asset Ocean, we’re building a self-service data platform that enables renewable energy producers to make better, faster, data-driven decisions. We’re looking for an Engineering & Infrastructure Lead to take full ownership of our technical foundation, lead our engineering practices, and ensure a scalable, secure, high-performance application stack.

About Asset Ocean: Asset Ocean, a subsidiary of Encavis, provides a central solution for managing data from multiple solar and wind farms. Our mission is to improve data management and accelerate decision-making by providing high-quality data access and actionable insights, helping Encavis scale its decentralized generation portfolio through intelligent data use.

Your sunny outlook:

1. Mentor and lead a small, high-impact engineering team, fostering a culture of ownership and excellence.
2. Own the technical implementation of our platform – from application architecture to infrastructure and deployment.
3. Design and lead development of the Dock application (Next.js frontend, backend APIs, data integration layers).
4. Manage and optimize our Azure-based cloud infrastructure for performance and cost.
5. Drive DevOps and CI/CD practices for robust and automated software delivery.
6. Guide software architecture decisions, ensuring maintainability, performance, and security.
7. Oversee data infrastructure and orchestration for smooth ETL flows and scalable storage.
8. Ensure observability, system reliability, and disaster recovery readiness.

Must-Have:

• Leadership experience managing cross-domain teams.
• Proven experience managing scalable, secure Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Strong track record in system design and architecture.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps pipelines, Docker, Terraform, monitoring tools like Prometheus/Grafana, orchestration platforms like Prefect or Airflow, API development and security, and proficiency in Python & SQL.
• Experience with Snowflake in data-driven environments.

Nice to Have:

• Data modeling experience, especially in analytics or data warehouses.
• Familiarity with PeerDB and Postgres-to-Snowflake syncing.
• Basic understanding of TypeScript for frontend/backend collaboration.
