YOUR TASKS

• Lead the technical and disciplinary management of our Machine Learning Engineering team.
• Implement Machine Learning models on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Work hands-on in a cross-functional team to develop and deploy innovative data and AI products, utilizing classical machine learning methods and generative AI (GenAI).
• Collaborate with your team to ensure smooth operation of AI systems, proactively addressing issues related to quality, scalability, performance, and security.
• Develop best practices, optimize existing applications, and stay updated with the latest technology trends.
• Support the personal and professional development of eight team members.
• Work closely with Data Scientists, Product and Business Stakeholders, and Tech Teams throughout the entire lifecycle of ML/GenAI models, from conception to deployment, monitoring, and optimization.

YOUR PROFILE

• Several years of professional experience in developing and operationalizing data and AI products, with practical knowledge in GenAI preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Python, Java, and SQL for data analysis, data engineering, and ML model development.
• Practical experience in MLOps and CI/CD practices.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services (such as BigQuery, Vertex AI, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run) and Terraform.
• Deep understanding of managing ML models across their lifecycle, using modern MLOps practices.
• Proven leadership and mentoring experience, with the ability to motivate and promote collaboration.
• Strong analytical skills, a structured working approach, and a proactive problem-solving attitude.
• Excellent communication skills in English and ideally German.
