THE ROLE & THE TEAM

We are on the lookout for a highly skilled and dynamic Team Lead for Content Programming within the Content Strategy & Curation team. In this leadership role, you will lead a high-performing team of eleven, with three direct reports, guiding them through their growth and development.

Your primary responsibility will be to review and optimise the Content Framework and align the content planning requirements between various Markets and Proposition senior leadership teams. This role demands exceptional leadership and mentoring abilities, as well as the skill to effectively spar with senior leaders. Your team will be organised into three pillars: Multi Proposition, Emerging, and Local & Commercial content. As the team lead, you will be instrumental in coaching your team to deliver the annual content plan and budget, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives set by the Content Strategy and Enablement team.

  • Provide strong leadership and direction to a diverse team, ensuring high performance and team development.
  • Effectively align predetermined content strategies with requirements between different markets and the senior leadership of Propositions.
  • Develop and deliver the annual content plan and manage the content budget, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Maintain continuous communication with senior stakeholders, adeptly managing relationships and expectations.
  • Oversee the strategic distribution of content across various channels and platforms on the mid-to-lower funnel.
  • Leverage existing data and analytics to inform content strategies, steer campaign decisions, and evaluate performance.
  • Champion optimisation within the team, encouraging creative and tooling solutions and new approaches to KPI driven content planning and distribution.
  • Facilitate collaboration across the Content Strategy & Curation team to ensure content programming is operating in support of strategy and story-telling requirements.

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within content strategy, planning, and distribution, preferably in a diverse and dynamic environment.
  • Strong ability to lead, mentor, and develop a large team, with experience managing direct reports.
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate with various stakeholders including Senior VP level.
  • Excellent skills in strategic planning and aligning content initiatives with business goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior leaders, providing valuable insights and sparring on high-level strategies.
  • In-depth understanding of content distribution channels and best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data in decision-making processes.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of nurturing strong internal and external relationships.
  • A proactive and adaptive leadership style, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
