Position: Team Lead - Engineering

Location of the role: Germany / Spain / Romania (Remote)

As a Team Lead - Engineering at TrustYou, you will be part of our international Engineering team and be located either in Germany, Spain or Romania. You will be responsible for the overall performance and delivery of the team, career, and people development, and visibility and communication with stakeholders.

You will be working closely with the VP of Engineering on developing, managing, and empowering up to 8 engineers for creating a productive, fast-paced, and high-quality delivery engineering culture.

In your role, you will make an impact by…

• Owning the team’s commitment to delivering results in alignment with business priorities, timelines, and engineering best practices, along with risk management.
• Ensuring the visibility of the team’s activities and smooth communication with all the different stakeholders.
• Collaborating with the Product Managers and ensuring the quality of the product’s input, building consensus for scope selection and delivery schedules.
• Collaborating with team members to establish clear goals and empowering them to achieve successful delivery of their tasks.
• Taking ownership of keeping the features and products available, stable, and reliable in production.
• Providing technical knowledge and fostering the growth of your teammates through supporting knowledge-sharing activities and cross-skilling programs.
• Ensuring a positive team experience and understanding each individual’s concerns and needs.
• Developing and gathering improvement proposals in terms of ways of working, technology, and tools.
• Leading by example and contributing hands-on towards the team’s goals when required.

You are a perfect fit, if you have…

• Possess over 2 years of hands-on experience in people management and leadership roles with engineering teams.
• Have more than 8 years of extensive professional experience in software development, especially working with complex systems.
• Have a solid understanding of software architecture, web platforms, and big data technologies.
• Are aligned with Agile and Lean software development principles.
• Implement engineering best practices and prioritize quality over quantity.

You are ideally someone who has…

• Experience in leading and/or building SaaS platforms.
• Experience in leading and/or building Data analytics products.
• Experience in highly scalable, end-user facing products.
• Experience working with Python, Kafka, or modern frontend frameworks like React.
