Responsibilities:
- Lead the international electrical engineering team with around 18 employees based in Germany and the UK within the Offshore Engineering department, providing disciplinary and professional leadership.
- Drive the development of the team based on departmental goals and take responsibility for the technical development of the team.
- Develop and implement plans to increase your team’s capabilities and standardize processes across projects.
- Create and develop resource plans for your team, supporting offshore projects and troubleshooting as needed.
- Develop your employees according to their capabilities and career plans, aligning with business and project needs.
- Exchange regularly with other team leads and management.
Candidate Profile:
- Successfully completed an academic degree in electrical engineering or a comparable field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Several years of professional experience in electrical engineering, with a broad understanding of design and implementation of electrical components and systems such as substations, HVDC systems, cable networks, and wind turbines.
- Initial leadership experience, possibly enhanced by training or further education.
- Good communication skills, persuasiveness, and assertiveness in English; German language skills are a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, with a high pace of work and good overview.
