Together we set the standards of tomorrow - your tasks:

• Lead and manage the multidisciplinary Data Platform team as well as foster team growth and individual development
• Enhance team performance and working environment through the application of agile methodologies and engineering excellence practices
• Design quality technical solutions in the central Data Platform utilizing best practices for data architecture, data quality, and data governance
• Lead projects in Data Platform team, ensure their timely delivery within scope and budget
• Operate our data platform, ensuring data quality and accessibility according to the SLAs
• Collaborate with Data Analysts across the whole company to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions
• Ensure data protection and security according to the internal policies as well as compliance requirements

You inspire us - your profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
• At least 5 years of experience with data engineering and at least 2 years of experience as a manager
• Demonstrated expertise in building and leading high-performing data engineering teams
• Solid knowledge of concepts, architectural patterns and best practices relevant for data platforms for analytics
• Proven ability to deliver complex projects in a timely manner
• Experience with applying agile methodologies and engineering excellence practices to development teams
• Experience with building cloud-based data platforms, experience with AWS is a plus
• Proficiency in building data integrations and processing pipelines (ETL/ELT), data modeling, RDBMS, IaC and CI/CD
• Expert knowledge of SQL, strong programming skills in Python for data processing and familiarity with Spark; experience with SAP Business Warehouse or BW/4HANA is a plus; Databricks or dbt experience is also a plus
• Fluent English speaking skills; German is a plus
• Strong emotional intelligence and excellent interpersonal skills
