tado°, a growing scale-up in smart energy, is seeking a dedicated Team Lead Accounting to shape accounting processes and lead a 3-person team. You’ll own day-to-day accounting, reporting, and tax coordination for multiple entities across Europe, partnering with auditors and Controlling.

You bring 6+ years of accounting experience, strong HGB/UGB knowledge, and leadership; NetSuite and Excel proficiency are a plus.

Qualifications

• Commercial education or business-related Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards (HGB/UGB) and VAT regulations.
• NetSuite knowledge and first leadership experience is an advantage.
• Confident Microsoft Office, especially Excel, User.
• Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, proactive mindset.
• A team player with a drive to learn and adapt.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Accounting department with 3 team members and report to Head of Finance.
• Oversee GL, AP/AR, and fixed assets; ensure timely monthly/annual closings.
• Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB/UGB; liaise with auditors.
• Coordinate tax returns for domestic and foreign entities (VAT, corporate tax, etc.).
• Handle reporting requests from stakeholders (e.g., sustainability).
• Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes and controls (e.g., platforms like Amazon).
• Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team to ensure high-quality results.
• Collaborate closely with Controlling and other departments.

To continue our growth, we are looking for a dedicated Team Lead Accounting (m/f/d) who combines hands-on accounting expertise with strong ownership and enjoys actively shaping the future of accounting processes.

Your Impact

• You’ll lead the Accounting department with 3 team members from Junior to Senior and directly report to the Head of Finance.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable / receivable and fixed assets, and ensure timely and accurate monthly / annual financial closings.
• Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements (individual and group) in accordance with HGB and UGB (prospective maybe IFRS too), act as point of contact for auditors.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations by coordinating and preparing tax returns (e. g. VAT, corporate tax, etc.) for domestic and foreign companies (Germany, Austria, UK, France, Italy), as well as ongoing assessment of tax issues in consultation with tax advisors.
• Take care of reporting requests from our stakeholders (e. g. sustainability).
• Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes, e. g. with platforms like Amazon, and internal controls.
• Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team with your experience and expertise for ensuring high quality results.
• Collaborate closely with Controlling and other departments.

• A completed commercial education or a business-related Bachelor’s degree, with 6+ years of relevant experience
