Team Lead – AC Engineering (Electrical Systems)

Join Our Leadership Team

We’re looking for an experienced Team Lead AC Engineering to guide our electrical engineering function and drive excellence across design, development, and project execution. This is a key technical leadership role where you’ll oversee AC engineering activities, support project teams, and ensure high-quality, standards-compliant solutions for our clients.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the AC Engineering team, ensuring strong technical performance, knowledge development, and collaborative working.
• Oversee the creation and review of AC electrical designs, including single-line diagrams, cable sizing, protection concepts, and grid-compliant configurations.
• Act as a senior technical point of contact for Grid Operators, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Support project and sales teams with expert technical input during planning, tendering, and execution phases.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet required standards, regulations, and project timelines.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers and site teams to ensure seamless transition from design to installation and commissioning.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, documentation, and quality frameworks.

What You Bring:

• Strong background in electrical engineering, ideally within power systems, renewable energy, or grid-connected infrastructure.
• Proven leadership experience-formal or informal-with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop a technical team.
• Excellent understanding of AC system design, standards, and grid requirements.
• Confidence communicating with external partners, including utilities and suppliers.
• A structured, solution-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving technical environment.
