CODE is seeking a Teacher Assistant for the module SE_02 and the Introduction to Algorithms and Data Structures course. You will support students by answering questions, running office hours, and facilitating practice sessions to help them progress.

You will review hand-ins, provide feedback, and ensure course feedback reaches the faculty. Prior tutoring or teaching experience and Python familiarity are encouraged, with requirements for matriculation in Germany.

About the Role

CODE is looking for a Teacher Assistant for the module (SE_02) and the associated course, Introduction to Algorithms and Data Structures. In this position, you will support our students in their learning experience by:

• Helping to create a fun, rigorous environment for students to learn.
• Answering student questions and supporting them to progress in their learning journey through office hours, Slack, Google Classroom, and during LUs.
• Ensuring that essential course feedback reaches faculty.
• Running practice sessions for students, and helping with content & challenges they are struggling with.
• Reviewing student hand-ins and giving them feedback throughout the semester.

We’re looking for someone with the following skillset:

• Desire to help fellow students. (Experience teaching or tutoring is a plus.)
• Some understanding and practical experience with Python. (Experience with other programming languages plus.)
• Passed the module Algorithms and Data Structures or similar.

For working student positions at CODE, we need you to meet the following requirements:

• Being currently matriculated at a German university.
• Having a registered address in Germany and a German tax number.
• Having the right to work in Germany.
• Having a German bank account.

What you can expect:

Contract type: Minijob Duration: Fall Semester 2026 (1st Aug - 31st Jan)) Part-time position (maximum 320 hours for the total duration of the contract) 15 EUR hourly rate (gross)
