Qualifikationen

• Mindestens 5 Jahre Erfahrung im Steuerrecht, idealerweise als Steuerberater oder In-house Counsel.
• Fließend in Englisch und Deutsch.

The Tax Manager Germany (m/f/d) is responsible for the tax environment and tax declarations of our four German entities.

We are seeking someone who enjoys working in an international and dynamic environment, with autonomy and agility, is solution-oriented, and considers themselves an expert aiming to enhance tax compliance awareness, support business questions, and ensure conformity and deadline adherence.

This position reports to the Head of Finance Germany, is based in Cologne, and involves regular communication with the group shareholder (LVMH) tax department and the finance project leader.

Tax Manager (m/f/d) Responsibilities

• Manage the German tax environments: Corporate tax & CIT; Withholding tax (50a); VAT; support wage tax treatments if required.
• Oversee the application of tax compliance assessments performed by external partners and collaborate with involved business departments (HR, finance) to ensure correct application.
• Calculate corporate tax for our GmbH for shareholder reporting and prepare tax documentation based on actual data and budget exercises.
• Maintain transfer pricing policies based on international tax knowledge.
• Act as the primary contact during tax audits and coordinate data collection.
• Assess withholding tax applications on various projects in collaboration with creative and legal teams.

Profile

• At least 5 years of experience in tax, preferably with prior roles as a tax advisor and in-house counsel.
• Have already applied for the tax certificate exam in Germany.
• Solution-oriented mindset and structured working approach to manage multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines.
• Willingness to take responsibility and work independently.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders and validate tax treatments across projects.
• Fluent in English and German.
