About the Job

As part of the internal Talent Acquisition team this role will effectively and efficiently lead on recruitment campaigns across the firm including legal and business teams’ recruitment across all Lewis Silkin offices. The post holder will also have the opportunity to support the HR team on other firm-wide HR projects and initiatives.

Please note, this role is remote based with occasional travel to the London office (as and when required).

Key Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the full life cycle of recruitment for a variety of legal and business teams vacancies across all offices, ensuring thorough role briefings are complete with hiring managers and that key requirements are fully understood.
  • Be a trusted advisor to hiring managers, whilst also being able to challenge decisions and find a solution when faced with problems.
  • Partner with hiring managers across the business to understand current and future resourcing requirements.
  • With the appropriate HRBP/HRA create job descriptions and person specifications for internal and external communication.
  • Have a proactive approach across all roles and understand the wider impact of the TA teams’ function.
  • Have an active focus and interest in direct recruitment through LinkedIn and other methods.
  • Manage recruitment agency relationships, ensuring terms of business are agreed and adhered to.
  • Gather feedback post interviews/assessment, ensuring both internal/external stakeholders and candidates are updated in a timely fashion and kept up to date with on-going processes.
  • Liaise with HR during the onboarding process, ensuring contracts are signed and that hiring managers, as well as HRBP/HRA, are kept updated.
  • Maintain the firm’s recruitment portal AllHires and ensure its use across the firm, ensuring accuracy and integrity of the data is always maintained.
  • Ensure a positive recruitment experience for both candidates and internal stakeholders.
  • Be on hand to support to the TA Manager and Specialists within the team as and when needed.
  • Assist with Early Career assessment days, screening of applications and any other duties, as and when required.
  • Ensuring that the firm’s diversity equity and inclusion agenda is reflected in recruitment practice
  • Act as an ambassador for the firm, helping to build the profile and continue our reputation as an employer of choice.
  • Any other reasonable duty in line with the level of the role.

About you

The successful candidate must have a professional manner and first-class communication skills. They must be highly organised and able to demonstrate a pro-active approach to their work with the ability to work on their own initiative. They must enjoy working in a busy team environment and will need to have a flexible and co-operative nature, as well as excellent stakeholder management skills and willing attitude.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Previous experience and understanding of recruitment processes; including working with a variety of stakeholders.
  • At least two years’ experience of working at Talent Acquisition Advisor/Officer level within a HR team in a professional services environment, ideally legal; or applicable agency background working within a professional services setting or remit.
  • Experience of using applicant tracking system and online recruitment management tools.
  • Understanding and sensitivity to diversity, equity and inclusion issues within recruitment processes.

  • Team player with a flexible and willing attitude.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours from time to time where resource requirements dictate.
