OHB System AG in Bremen, a leading European space company, seeks a Systems Engineer (m/f/d) – Navigation to join our Bremen team. You will analyse, derive and manage system requirements and coordinate architectures for spacecraft and subsystems.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s/PhD in Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering, with strong systems engineering expertise and a holistic, cost-aware mindset. Teamwork and cross-disciplinary collaboration are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s, Diploma, or PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a comparable discipline.
• Extensive experience in design, development, and system engineering of spacecraft and subsystems.
• Experience in at least one systems engineering domain such as Requirements Engineering or Verification & Validation.

• Analyze, define, derive, and manage system requirements ensuring completeness and verifiability.
• Coordinate system architectures and interfaces, assessing concepts against requirements, risks, costs, and schedules.
• Lead and support development, including analyses to demonstrate compliance with system requirements.
• Contribute to system design reviews and verification planning, including budgets.
• Prepare test specifications and support verification and testing activities.
• Contribute to launch phase and in-orbit test activities.

Systems Engineer (m/f/d) – Navigation

Your Tasks

• Responsible for the analysis, definition, derivation, and management of system and subsystem requirements, ensuring completeness, consistency, and verifiability while considering cost and verification impacts
• Coordinate system architectures and technical interfaces, and assess design concepts with respect to requirements, risks, costs and schedules
• Lead and support development and design activities, including technical analyses to demonstrate compliance with specified system requirements
• Support and contribute to system design reviews, verification planning, and the preparation and management of system-level technical budgets
• Prepare test specifications and support the definition, execution, and evaluation of verification and testing activities to demonstrate requirement compliance
• Contribute to the preparation and execution of Launch and Early Orbit Phase and In-Orbit Test activities

Your Qualifications

• Successfully completed degree (Master’s, Diploma, or PhD) in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a comparable discipline
• Extensive experience in the design, development, and system engineering of spacecraft, space equipment, and related subsystems
• Proven expertise in at least one systems engineering domain, such as Mission Analysis, Spacecraft Operations, System Design, System Analysis, Interface Engineering, Requirements Engineering & Management, Verification & Validation, or Engineering Coordination
• Strong analytical and technical judgment skills combined with a holistic systems perspective and a solution- and cost-oriented mindset
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, flexibility in addressing technical challenges, and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary environments
