Mission Analysis and Flight Dynamics Engineer (m/f/d)
Your Tasks
- Perform Mission Analysis for Earth observation satellites in LEO and GEO.
- Analysis and derivation of Mission and System performance parameters
- Point of Contact to Subsystem designers for Mission-related requirements and constraints.
- Point of Contact to Payload designers and System Engineers (in particular, Operations preparation engineers) for the consolidation of an operational concept related to the payload commanding.
- Provide Subsystem designers with the required Mission-related analyses and profiles.
- Conception, design, development and validation of SW packages for Mission Analysis and Flight Dynamics purposes.
- Development of optimal / suboptimal Attitude Guidance profiles
- Computation of nominal mission profiles.
- Development of Orbit Control strategies and related SW
- Derivation of Mission-related requirements.
Your Qualifications
- Master’s or doctoral degree or equivalent in Engineering, Physics or Mathematics.
- Deep and hands-knowledge on Orbital Dynamics problems and methods.
- Ability and experience to apply theoretical knowledge for the solution of technical problems in Space Flight Dynamics.
- Experience in the use of numerical methods for Orbit Determination and Control.
- Experience as FD engineer in operational context is a plus.
- Good knowledge of satellite Attitude Kinematics and Dynamics.
- Knowledge and experience in optimization theory is a plus.
- Ability to work in cooperation with Systems and Subsystems Engineers in multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent command in MATLAB and Python. C and System Tool Kit (STK) are a plus.
