OHB System AG – We.Create.Space in Bremen seeks a Systems Engineering Manager (m/f/d) to lead a satellite Phase B2/C/D program and guide a team of space engineers in a fast-paced environment.

You will ensure ECSS-compliant processes, manage baselines, requirements, budgets and schedules, and collaborate with procurement, project office, product assurance and AIT. Fluent German and English are required.

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Excellent analytical and technical thinking.
• Fact-based decision making.
• 5+ years leading development teams.
• Familiar with ECSS development cycle.
• Strong understanding of complex development processes.

Aufgaben

• Manage systems engineering for a satellite Phase B2/C/D project.
• Leverage existing technologies and processes to shorten turnover times.
• Lead a team of space engineers.
• Coordinate systems engineering activities across lifecycle: baselining, interfaces, budget, requirements, product definition, integration sequencing.
• Interface with subsystem engineering teams including procurement, project office, project management, product assurance, AIT.

Your Tasks

• Systems engineering management for a satellite Phase B2/C/D project.
• Leveraging existing technologies, concepts and processes to shorten turnover times
• Leading a team of highly skilled space enthusiasts
• Responsible to manage and coordinate all systems engineering activities throughout the lifecycle of the project including technical baselining, interface management, budget management, requirements management, product definition, integration sequencing
• Stakeholders to manage: systems engineering team, customers technical team
• Stakeholders to interface with: subsystem engineering teams incl. procurement, project office, project management, product assurance, AIT

Your Qualifications

• Successfullycompleted degree in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related discipline
• Excellent analytical and techncial thinking
• Fact-based decision making
• More than 5 years experience in leading development teams
• Familiar with the development cycle for space programmes according to ECSS
• Excellent understanding of complex development processes
• FluentGerman and English language skills, both written and spoken
