Jobbeschreibung

As a Systems Engineer (m/f/d) for the Integration of Battery Storage Systems, you plan, execute, and document the testing of battery systems as well as their components and subsystems. In addition, you coordinate the setup of various development prototypes to verify the mechanical and electrical design of the product. Together with the development team, you coordinate decision-making processes and also implement measures independently.

Your impact

• Analyze system requirements, evaluate, refine, and specify test requirements and methods
• Integrate products while considering internal and external requirements (hardware and software), identify development potential and implement improvements, including documentation
• Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and the current state of the art
• Support the planning, organization, and documentation of the certification process for new and existing products
• Assist other departments and teams in the market launch of battery systems (e.g. technical service, training modules)
• Coordinate and align project work with internal departments and external partners (e.g. research institutes, suppliers)
• Assess component and subsystem costs together with the purchasing team, and optimize system costs
• Manage product and series maintenance, including modifications and improvements

Who you are

You are diligent, ready for new challenges, and a strong team player. To ensure your success in this role, we are also looking for:

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, or a comparable field
• Expert knowledge and solid experience in the development of electrical energy storage systems, especially in connection with PV systems, integrated batteries, charging systems, inverter technology and/or e-mobility
• Experience in life-cycle management and familiarity with tools such as Siemens Polarion or Atlassian Jira
• Fluent in English and at least B2 level in German
