Job Description: Linux Systems Administrator

We are seeking a Linux Systems Administrator for a full-time role based in Moehringen, Germany, supporting a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, US EUCOM, located in Stuttgart, Germany.

This position requires a current DoD TS/SCI security clearance and compliance with TESA accreditation, offering benefits such as tax exemption, relocation reimbursement, housing allowance, COLA, and school reimbursement for dependents. The role involves OCONUS travel.

Responsibilities
  1. Configure, optimize, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and other Linux systems.
  2. Ensure high availability, performance, and security of Linux environments supporting critical military infrastructure.
  3. Manage system resources, perform capacity planning, and implement best practices for system optimization.
  4. Administer Linux systems, including installation, configuration, patching, and security hardening per DISA STIGs.
  5. Support automation using shell scripting, Ansible, GitLab, AWX/AAP, PowerShell, and develop CI/CD pipelines.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support Windows and networking systems as needed.
  7. Troubleshoot, monitor, and resolve incidents in real-time, providing Tier 2/3 support.
  8. Work with tools such as ServiceNow, Red Hat Satellite, GitLab, Splunk, and others.
Qualifications
  • 7-9 years of IT experience; specific Linux experience required.
  • RedHat Certified Solutions Associate or higher, Linux+, LPIC certifications preferred.
  • Security+ certification (IAT Level II or higher).
  • Experience with automation, virtualization (VMware, KVM), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and networking fundamentals.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, security awareness, and experience with DoD standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in dynamic environments.
Additional Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, including overnight travel.
  • Active passport for OCONUS travel.
Physical & Work Environment

Office setting, sitting at a desk, working with computers. May require short travel distances and compliance with vaccination requirements for OCONUS assignments.
