Qualifikationen

As a (Senior) IT Security Specialist (m / f / d), you will actively shape our security measures in a solution-oriented manner, collaborating with employees from various broadcasters. Your approach will be strategic, technically sound, and effective.

We are looking for a suitable candidate to join us at the Frankfurt location of Hessischer Rundfunk for the following position:

(Senior) IT Security Specialist (m / f / d)

You will work within interdisciplinary teams with an agile mindset, managing the operation and continuous development of modern cloud infrastructures and security technologies, contributing significantly to holistic IT security.

Your Tasks

1. Operate and further develop cloud infrastructures and security technologies independently.
2. Consult with specialist departments to identify, analyze, and eliminate vulnerabilities, especially in cloud environments.
3. Participate in 2nd and 3rd level support for security incidents, responding quickly and effectively.
4. Collaborate in DevSecOps structures focusing on secure system operation and automation of security processes.
5. Take technical responsibility in areas such as:

• Cloud-native firewalls
• Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM)
• Cloud-Native Application Protection Platforms (CNAPP)
• Secure Service Edge (SSE)

Your Profile

• Master's or Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., (business) informatics, mathematics, physics).
• At least 3 years of experience in IT security, ideally with a focus on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Expertise in securing cloud environments and native architectures.
• Knowledge of CNAPP, CSPM, SSE, and firewall technologies.
• Experience with agile development methods and CI/CD processes is desirable.
• Experience in DevSecOps environments is a plus.
• Structured, solution-oriented work style with a high sense of responsibility.
• Agile mindset and practical experience with agile tools and methods.
• Decision-making ability and responsibility-taking.
• Teamwork, initiative, and strong communication skills, capable of presenting technical topics understandably.
• Fluent in written and spoken German and English.
• High resilience and flexibility.
