Aufgaben

• Act as a counterpart for the technical and project manager regarding IVVQ activities.
• Define test strategies and create test plans for existing and new products in development.
• Define, implement and maintain tests verifying RF-related features and performance of radar systems.
• Set up RF test benches for automatic tests in the engineering department.
• Document test results according to guidelines and present to customers/government bodies.
• Assess and improve test coverage with focus on digital integration.
• Propose work package estimates and descriptions ensuring cost-effective solutions.

Your mission as System Test Engineer / IVVQ Engineer (m/f/d) Radar

• Act as a counterpart for the technical and project manager regarding IVVQ activities
• Define test strategies and create test plans for existing as well as new products in development
• Define, implement and maintain tests verifying the RF related features and performance of radar systems
• Definition and set-up RF test benches for automatic tests in the engineering department
• Document test results according to the Thales guidelines and presentation of test results to customers and/or governmental quality bodies
• Asses and improve continuously the test coverage of our systems with focus on digital integration
• Proposes work package estimates and descriptions ensuring that compliant solutions at optimum cost are identified

We are looking forward to:

• Completed technical master studies, e.g. in computer science, electronical engineering or comparable professional experience
• Professional experience in System Testing
• Professional experience setting-up automatic tests with state-of-the-art measurement devices
• Professional experience using tools for data analysis (Python)
• Work experience in defense or airspace industry, ideally radar is an advantage
• Solid knowledge in RF testing and measurement devices
• Good understanding of complex systems and ability to abstract
• Knowledge of RF standards such as ITU or Radio Equipment Directive is an advantage
• Familiarity with requirements management tools is an advantage
• Strong ability to work in a team with colleagues from other disciplines both in a national and international environment
• High customer focus
• Structured approach and way of working
• You are recognized for your pragmatism, commitment and rigor
• Very good German and English skills
