A global technology company in Weinheim is seeking an IT Network Specialist responsible for planning, designing, and operating modern network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with LAN, WAN, and cloud-based systems, alongside strong English and German skills. Planning, design, and operation of modern IT network and infrastructure components (LAN, WLAN, WAN, firewalls – on-premises & cloud-based)
Administration and further development of global network architectures in a complex, international IT environment
Participation in international IT projects – from technical conception and administrative support to operational implementation
Ensuring network availability and security through monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
Close collaboration with internal departments and external partners to implement infrastructure projects
Contribution to the definition and implementation of global IT standards as well as participation in corporate-wide committees (e.g. security policies, network structures)
Documentation and continuous improvement of deployed systems and processes
Several years of practical experience in the design, operation, and optimization of complex network infrastructures (LAN, WAN, WLAN)
In-depth technical knowledge of IP networks, switching (L2/L3), VLANs, and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
Hands-on experience with Azure networking, WAN acceleration, and SD-WAN
Experience working with Cisco technologies and firewalls (e.g. Azure, CATO)
Good knowledge of infrastructure core services such as DNS, DHCP, and ideally NTP
Structured, self-reliant working style and a high level of customer orientation
Willingness to travel internationally and enthusiasm for working in intercultural teams
Excellent English and good German skills (at least C1) in both spoken and written form
