Job Description: In order to support Air Power Engineering "Digital Flight Control Systems", Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a System Engineer for Qualification & Certification (Flight Control System) (d/f/m). The department "Digital Flight Control Systems" at Airbus Defence & Space is in charge of System Design, Qualification & Certification for flight control systems of fighter aircraft. We are looking for support to our international team to provide system qualification and certification evidences to airworthiness and authorities to allow our development and production aircraft to fly.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• Preparation of the FCS Qualification Program Plans (SysQPPs)
• Definition/Development and maintenance of certification plans which enable the certification of the aircraft
• Assessment of the flight clearance requests in order to define the required qualification and certification activities
• Planning, integration and harmonization of clearance evidences from the FCS disciplines
• Preparation of the FCS System Clearance/Qualification Statements for the Development & Series Production Aircraft (PSQS/SQS/QU/SCSs)
• Support the validation and verification process for the FCS related type acceptance documentation and certification with the authorities
• Preparation of the Compliance matrices showing the fulfilment of the FCS Contractual Requirements
• Coordination of queries raised from the Airworthiness Authority and providing the input required at the FCS Dialogue (exchange with LufABw; EF GmbH and NETMA)

Desired skills and qualifications:

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering or similar
• Solid working experience in Multi-Functional Teams (MFT)
• Qualification and certification experience alongside the whole V-Model (>3 years)
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Experience in negotiation with certification authorities
• Requirements management (mainly IBM Doors), Model based Design experience is an advantage
• Civil/Military certification alongside ARP4754/61 and DO178C; DO254
• Team spirit & Team work
• Fluent in English
• Good / Fluent in German is an advantage
