Could you be the full-time System Engineer (f/m/d) in Mannheim we're looking for?

Your Future Role

Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen. You'll report to Domain Lead Cab & Passenger and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

We'll look for you to:

  2. Consolidate operational scenarios and operability requirements of functional features.
  3. Define the appropriate train functional architecture to meet internal and external requirements including availability and safety.
  4. Develop concepts and designs in alignment with the team to establish the most suitable architecture that fulfills the needs and requirements.
  5. Create functional specifications including derived requirements for the electrical architecture, train control, and subsystems.
  6. Manage subsystem integration including technical requirement documentation, hardware and software interface management, and type testing.
  7. Support the validation of the functional design including the preparation of test specifications.
  8. Verify the functional design throughout the development process by simulating functional models.
  9. Manage configurations and changes to ensure the integrity of the baselines.

  2. Knowledge of software development, preferably in train control as well as knowledge of bus systems such as WTB or ETB.

  4. Fluent in English with strong communication skills.

Things You'll Enjoy

Join us on a lifelong transformative journey; the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You'll also:

  1. Experience a dynamic work environment with a permanent position at a leading company for green mobility.
