Job description:

In your new role you will:

  • Take responsibility for defining system-level requirements of the algorithm-rich digital IPs such as graphics and security.
  • Plan validation requirements, develop and execute them for automotive microcontroller product families using emulation and FPGA based platforms during the pre-silicon phase and silicon-based platform during the post-silicon phase.
  • Debug and localize issues involving digital HW/Low level driver/Firmware components.
  • Bring in system-level expertise in HW-SW co-design and reviews.
  • Analyze topics within and around the subsystems, memories and peripherals on performance-critical operations.
  • Support evaluation of innovative algorithm-based microcontroller features through feasibility study and ecosystem analysis and feedback to shape the future roadmap.
  • Take ownership in developing prototypes of memory intensive and algorithm-rich HW/SW accelerators to enable customers, AEs, and HMI vendors.
Your Profile:

You remain aware of the big picture even in complex situations and take actions despite uncertain circumstances on hardware-software co-design. You promote an open communication climate in your area in which questions and pieces of information can be shared and are always seen as an opportunity for improvements. Thereby you are able to balance interests of various stakeholders and use the creative potential they offer.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • A degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics or a similar field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Embedded System engineering/Emulation/Graphics Application development and excellent knowledge about System architecture.
  • An understanding of data flow and processing pipeline, principles of Graphics controller's HW & FW, principles of automotive safety and security are a plus.
  • Experience in Embedded MCU and DSP systems with intensive memory interactions and its validation. Experience in system and component level testing will be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with embedded SW.
  • Ability to work directly with customers, as well as internal and external cross-functional teams, fostering effective communication and seamless collaboration.
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment with measurement instruments.
  • Strong command in VHDL/Verilog, C/C++, and scripting language like Python.
  • Proficient in communication and presentation in English, German language skills as a plus.
