Zusammenfassung

Corning Incorporated is seeking a System Engineer to design and implement network solutions for AI Data Centers across the EMEA region. You will collaborate with sales teams, partners, and customers to create complete cabling solutions, BOMs, and network designs.

You will also provide technical support, training, and on-site assistance, write technical datasheets, and contribute feedback to product development. Travel up to 25% is required. Fluency in English with French or Italian is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in Telecom, Data Center, or structured cabling design.
• Experience designing cabling solutions for Data Centers or LAN networks.
• Experience creating technical documents (BOMs, datasheets, Statements of Compliance, RFP/RFQs).
• Good communication skills to explain technical topics to experts and non‑experts.
• Organized, able to meet deadlines, and proficient with MS Office and Visio.
• Fluent in English, plus French or Italian (Arabic or German a plus).

What You Bring

Must‑Haves

• University degree in Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in Telecom, Data Center, or structured cabling design.
• Experience designing cabling solutions for Data Centers or LAN networks.
• Experience creating technical documents (BOMs, datasheets, Statements of Compliance, RFP/RFQs).
• Good communication skills — you can explain technical topics to both experts and non‑experts.
• Organized, able to meet deadlines, and confident with MS Office and Visio.
• Fluent in English, plus French or Italian (Arabic or German is a plus).

Nice‑to‑Haves

• Basic mechanical, troubleshooting, and repair skills.
• Pre‑sales experience with active and passive telecom networks and ICT backbones.
• Programming skills in Python, JavaScript, Java, or Visual Basic.
• Knowledge of international standards (CENELEC, ISO/IEC, TIA/EIA, IEEE) and Data Center active equipment (switches, servers, storage).

Other Information

Travel: Up to 25% of your working time, mostly in Europe. Some travel to Israel, the US, or Asia may be needed. You should be ready to travel on short notice, including overnight stays.

Requirements: Valid EU work authorization or citizenship and a valid driving license with clean record for renting cars when needed.
