Sustainability is a leading trend in our markets. While in some markets, it is not yet fully defined, in others, like Packaging, it has been regulated by authorities to foster a transformation towards a circular economy. Markets such as Automotive, Building & Construction will follow in the coming years. Growing our position in recycling is essential to achieve our 2030 sustainability goals and to maintain our market position with customers. Moving towards the use of more sustainable, advantaged raw materials offers a significant opportunity to reduce our environmental footprint, but also requires creating a new value chain, different from the traditional linear petrochemical chain.

The Sustainability Procurement Specialist will drive our feedstock sourcing efforts both internally and externally for all Trinseo materials subject to Trinseo's three advanced recycling platforms, under the guidance of the Global Sustainability Business Development Leader.

The Sustainability Procurement Specialist will also serve as Trinseo's subject matter expert in sustainability certifications such as ISCC+ and Recyclas, ensuring that Trinseo's businesses and sites have a go-to resource for insights, audit preparation, and benchmarking of different market options.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Main responsibilities of the sustainability procurement specialist include:

• Building a strategic roadmap for feedstock into Trinseo's three advanced recycling platforms, assisting the Sustainable Feedstock Sourcing Manager and the Trinseo Heathland team, guided by the Global Sustainability Business Development Leader.
• Developing strategic external relationships focused on key players in the advanced recycling sector. Establishing and executing sustainable sourcing contracts globally from end to end, including market scouting, quality validation, implementation, and follow-up.
• Developing and maintaining tools to map supplier capacities, pricing, and alignment with Trinseo's sustainability goals. Supporting ad-hoc administrative tasks as needed.
• Serving as the Trinseo Subject Matter Expert (SME) on sustainability certifications such as ISCC, Recyclas, etc.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Chemistry, Bio Chemistry, Sustainability Management, Environmental Engineering, or a related bio-material industry field.
• Open to junior profiles.
• Candidate should possess skills such as relationship building, flexibility, creativity, independence, organization, self-motivation, and problem-solving. Fluency in English (written and oral) is required; additional languages are a plus.
