THE ROLE

As a Sustainability Expert - Finance in Germany, you will develop and implement sustainability strategies for major clients in the financial industry and contribute to expanding Quantis' sustainability solutions. Your role combines financial insights with sustainability expertise to help clients drive strategic transformation. You will work with banks, insurance providers, and asset managers to shape transition strategies, embed sustainability into business decisions, and promote resilient financial models.

• You’re motivated to use your creativity, strategy development, client relationship skills, and consulting experience to promote a sustainable future aligned with Planetary Boundaries.

• You have over 5 years of experience in sustainability within banking, insurance, or asset management, through consulting or in-house roles, with a focus on climate and nature targets.

• You understand the German financial system and its sustainability frameworks like CSRD, SBTi, and EU standards.

• You have sales and business development experience, capable of executing initiatives to attract new clients with support from sales enablement.

• You thrive in a fast-paced, diverse environment, developing and implementing sustainability strategies, supporting account relationships, and designing innovative services.

• You understand business strategy or strategy consulting, with a passion for transforming large companies into sustainable businesses.

• You have an entrepreneurial spirit, motivated by guiding global companies through sustainable change and innovating new solutions.

• You communicate fluently in English and have at least working proficiency in German.

WORK RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Sustainability Expert at Quantis, your work will include:

• Providing tailored sustainability advisory to financial institutions, applying frameworks like PCAF, TCFD, SBTi-FI, and TNFD.

• Leading sales processes and business development efforts.

• Leading the implementation of sustainability strategies and managing change pathways.

• Supporting the delivery of Quantis solutions related to sustainability strategies.

• Collaborating with team members to strengthen strategy services.

• Contributing to innovation activities to develop new sustainability strategy solutions.
