Jobbeschreibung

The Viessmann Generations Group

The Viessmann Generations Group is a global independent family company founded in 1917 driven by one purpose: "Co-creating living spaces for generations to come." The 4th generation of the Viessmann family continues to lead the business, with Maximilian Viessmann serving as CEO - carrying forward the legacy of Johann, Hans, and Martin Viessmann.

Historically in the heating sector, the Viessmann Generations Group is now diversifying its activities. A significant milestone was reached in 2023 when a strategic partnership between Viessmann Climate Solutions and Carrier Global was concluded to create the number one global HVAC solution provider committed to science-based climate targets. This move laid the foundation for a strategic reinvention of the family business in 2024. The Viessmann Generations Group now operates with a long-term investment approach, focusing on co-investments, acquisitions, and minority stakes in the areas of climate, water and food. As of today, the Viessmann Generations Group is supporting 30+ mid-sized companies and family businesses that are aligned with its purpose and based mostly in Europe and North-America.

The values of the Viessmann Generations Group have guided the organization for over a century:
  • Responsible - We are reliable, success-oriented, and committed to sustainable business practices.
  • Team-Oriented - We act fairly, transparently, and with agility, focusing on solutions.
  • Entrepreneurial - We are customer-focused, innovative, and technology-driven in our decision-making.
The Opportunity: Sustainability Analyst

At the Viessmann Generations Group, sustainability is a strategic lens for managing opportunities as well as risks, driving long term value creation, and positive change. As Sustainability Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping how the Group, its portfolio companies, and asset classes embed ESG principles into strategy, operations and governance.

Your mission is to co-create and coordinate a robust Monitoring, Reporting and Verification system so that sustainability can be integrated into the DNA of our corporate and investment decisions. This includes:
  • Transforming ESG data into actionable insights, supporting the development of audit-proof reporting frameworks,
  • Securing compliance with legal requirements such as the EU CSRD/ESRS, the CSDDD on environmental and human rights due diligence as well as applicable non-EU legal frameworks,
  • Designing and managing data collection campaigns, including capacity building for Portfolio Companies
  • Optimizing ESG rankings where relevant.
Based in the Viessmann Generations Group Holding, you will report to the Vice President Sustainability and Impact Investment and collaborate cross-functionally with investment, finance, legal, and strategy teams, as well as interface with our Portfolio Companies. You will ensure that sustainability insights are not only measured - but actively influence how we invest, operate, and lead.

What Your Day Looks Like

Imagine a day where you're not just crunching sustainability numbers - but helping shape how a multi-generational company navigates the future with purpose. In this role, you will:
  • Turn ESG Data into Strategic Insight - Analyze sustainability metrics across Viessmann Generations Group's portfolio to uncover risks, identify trends, and deliver insights that inform decision-making at the highest levels.
  • Support Portfolio Enablement & Planning - Work closely with portfolio companies to strengthen ESG governance, ensure audit-proof reporting, and support sustainability initiatives aligned with long-term growth and regulatory compliance.
  • Elevate ESG Communication & Storytelling - Develop clear, compelling internal and external reports, dashboards, and fact based narratives that bring Viessmann's sustainability performance to life.
  • Shape Portfolio-Wide Sustainability Standards - Benchmark leading practices across industries and co-create scalable, forward-looking frameworks that drive sustainability excellence throughout our ecosystem.
  • Engage Across Functions & Teams - Partner with investment, legal, and finance teams to embed ESG considerations into core business processes, ensuring alignment with both compliance obligations and impact ambitions.
At Viessmann, sustainability is treated as a business imperative. Your work will help ensure we lead by example across climate, water, food, and act with the long-term in mind.

Your Profile
  • A degree in Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • Strong experience in ESG, sustainability strategy, or sustainability reporting in a highly analytical role - ideally in a corporate, advisory, or investment environment.
  • Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, regulatory developments (e.g. CSRD, SFDR), and sustainability-related KPIs.
  • Excellent communication skills and business fluency in English and German - both written and verbally.
Let's shape living spaces for generations to come - together.
