Position:

We are looking for a Surgical Account Manager (m/f/d) - Central. The Surgical Account Manager develops our surgical business and ensures the best clinical outcomes. Our goal is to establish Heart Recovery as the new standard of care, which requires a Heart Team approach.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Identify opportunities, generate market awareness, and drive adoption of Abiomed surgical product portfolio.
  2. Open new accounts and build KOLs.
  3. Educate customers regarding the indications, contraindications, and technical applications of Abiomed product portfolio.
  4. Support surgical cases if appropriate.
  5. Manage the transition from the initial purchase to the clinical implementation of the product to drive adoption.
  6. Work collaboratively with the surgical clinical consultant and the cardiology team in the assigned region to achieve quarter over quarter growth.
  7. Drive excitement and vision of heart recovery solutions with existing devices and future technologies.
  8. Organize and execute surgical round tables (PPD).
  9. Call points: Cardiac Surgeons, HF Surgeons, HF cardiologists, Intensivists, ICU nurses & perfusionists.
  10. Organize HEART Team approach with local TM/CS colleagues.
  11. Staff major conferences & local heart failure symposiums.
  12. Build surgical vertical in established Impella programs – Full product portfolio.
  13. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and represent the company with high integrity, ethics, honesty, loyalty, and professionalism.
  14. Represent at surgical conferences across the EMEA region.
  15. Ability to travel 80% within territory required.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree in biomedicine or similar.
  2. 5+ years’ experience in cardiac surgery and/or surgical medical device sales in the field of Heart Failure and MCS business.
  3. Strategic selling skills.
  4. Solid understanding of cardiac surgery, perfusion medicine, mechanical circulatory support, structural heart anatomy.
  5. Direct patient support experience.
  6. Fluent in English and German.
