Pamela Kiewitt, our Head of Technical Support, is looking to strengthen the team with a talented Support Engineer, to join our office in Berlin or in Ettlingen (near Karlsruhe).

What you will be doing at Nexus

The Support Engineer role is complex and key at Nexus. This is not 'turn it off and on again' support—our cases are usually very complex and require a high level of product knowledge, including networking, databases, containers, certificates, etc.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Taking ownership of support tickets, responding promptly, and delivering quality solutions professionally.
  • Acting as an advisor when customers & partners need guidance on products and their applications.
  • Troubleshooting issues directly via web meetings.
  • Handling and understanding technical issues and the customer’s support history, identifying patterns or common points.
  • Improving the customer experience with our products and services.
  • Collaborating closely with Engineering and Sales teams to direct customer questions or requests appropriately.
  • Providing feedback for potential improvements or enhancements.
  • Understanding the practical use of our products, their advantages, and shortcomings.
  • Building long-lasting relationships with customers and partners.
  • Representing Nexus globally.

About you

  • You are customer-focused and solutions-oriented.
  • You enjoy solving complex problems.
  • You like approaching existing solutions from new perspectives and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • You are open-minded, flexible, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • You have an IT or Engineering background and preferably experience in technical support.
  • You are confident in networking skills and familiar with containers.
  • You are comfortable working in German and English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PKI and IT Security is a plus. We’re happy to show you the concepts if you’re interested.
