Contract : full-time (40h) initially fixed-term for 2 years followed by the option of a subsequent employment contract with an indefinite duration

Your tasks and responsibilities

As the Supply Teacher, you will cover classes in secondary school for colleagues who are absent. This may include planned absences, such as professional development, or last-minute sick leave.

  • Create a safe and stimulating learning environment for students to develop their intellectual, physical, social, and creative potential.
  • Maintain a well-managed and safe arts classroom.
  • Provide authentic formative feedback to help students improve their skills, knowledge, and understanding, and to develop higher-order thinking.
  • Contribute to the overall work of the Secondary School.
  • Participate in initiatives to develop teaching and learning across all subjects and classrooms.
  • Engage actively in the life of the International School and the local community.

Your profile

A University degree in Education or comparable qualification

  • High proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Effective communication skills and familiarity with IT and new technologies.
  • Experience in an internationally-minded and diverse school community is preferred.
