About the Role
Our team is always focusing on helping our customers save and improve patient’s lives with innovative and highest quality products and we are currently looking for a Supply Chain Specialist (m/w/d) to join our ambitious team in May 2025 at our site office in Jena, Germany. In this specific role you will be part of the Supply Chain Team and are responsible for your own product group or supplier and ensure that the targets within the operation are met.
Your work will focus on:
- Responsibility for an own area of responsibility within the supply chain (e.g. product group, supplier)
- Ensuring the target-oriented processing of tasks arising in the area of responsibility, also within the ERP system (e.g. requesting quotations, processing of purchase orders, order processing within given specifications, purchasing price monitoring, invoice control)
- Correspondence with suppliers
- Support and creation of analyses and reports
- Identification and implementation of process improvements according to lean principles
- Execution of Supply Chain and efficiency projects
- Material Planning (short, mid, long-term)
- Supplier selection and evaluation, supplier management
- Warehouse management & inventory control
- Production planning (medical accessories)
- Participation in and support in planning of inventory measures
- Administration, participation in and independent processing of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) as well as Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs)
- Assistance with other tasks (e.g. preparation of documents or presentations)
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Has a degree e.g. in business administration, business engineering or commercial education with profound experience in the field (min 10 years)
- Professional experience in commercial processes, in purchasing and supply chain preferably in the fields of medicine, pharmacy or automotive
- Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP HANA S4) and good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Accuracy, ability for logical thinking and well-structured work organization
- Very good German and good English skills (German: CEF C1; English min. B2)
- Ability to handle own projects as well as working in a diverse team
