- Own standard costing, bill of materials, routing accuracy, and periodic cost revaluation across product lines
- Maintain product costing, cost roll-ups, cost drivers, BOMs, routings, and overhead rates
- Analyze manufacturing variances, product profitability, cost-to-serve, landed cost, and delivered cost
- Define, track, and report cost-savings and productivity measures across manufacturing and supply chain
- Partner with Operations and Procurement on cost-reduction, efficiency, vendor pricing, make-versus-buy, and supplier negotiation initiatives
- Build and maintain gross-margin, unit-cost, and productivity KPIs by product and production line
- Support capacity, capital expenditure, and tooling investment decisions with ROI analysis
- Manage inventory accounting, cycle counts, E&O reserves, physical-to-book reconciliation, and inventory audits
- Monitor inventory levels, turns, and provisions
- Own logistics cost and performance visibility across freight, warehousing, and distribution
- Partner with Operations and Sales on demand and supply planning and financial forecasts
- Model P&L and working-capital impacts of sourcing, safety stock, and lead-time changes
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close under U.S. GAAP
- Collaborate with Accounting on manufacturing fixed assets, depreciation, usage, and inventory revaluation
- Develop internal controls over inventory, receiving, and production reporting
- Build and automate manufacturing and cost reporting and dashboards
- Contribute manufacturing and cost requirements to the NetSuite implementation
- Own master data management for cost-relevant data across systems
- Report directly to the Chief Financial Officer
Requirements
- CPA or CMA preferred, or equivalent technical accounting expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 8+ years of progressive cost and manufacturing accounting experience, ideally in equipment or industrial manufacturing
- Strong command of standard costing, BOM and routing structures, and manufacturing variance analysis
- Proven experience with a full-cycle ERP implementation
- Familiarity with the NetSuite ecosystem is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with large operational and cost data sets
- Hands-on experience improving and automating reporting
- Strong master data management expertise, including governance, data quality, and consistency across systems
- Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Comfortable on the shop floor and in front of senior leadership
- Self-motivated, strategic, collaborative, and highly organized
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
